What is a Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a titanium post which is placed in the jawbone and is used to support a crown, bridge or denture. The metal root acts as an anchor, making the implant just as strong as a real tooth. Dental implants have been in use for over 30 years, helping millions of people restore their teeth to full function.
Dr. Dinh highly recommends dental implants as a permanent solution to missing teeth because of their strength, durability and successful integration with the jawbone.

Our Dental Implant Procedure
First, Dr. Dinh will thoroughly assess your individual case during a dental implant consultation. Here she will determine your eligibility for dental implants by measuring the amount of bone in your jaw, and taking account of other health factors. She will present the different treatment options that are best for you, and lay out all preparatory work that needs to be done before implant placement.
Once your dental implant has been accurately placed in a minimally invasive surgical procedure, Dr. Dinh will then fit the restoration (crown or bridge) onto the implant abutment and you will have a fully functioning new tooth.
Whether you are replacing one missing tooth, or many, Dr. Dinh has the required training, experience and skill to get the job done correctly. She will fashion a restoration that complements your natural appearance and it will function as well as any of your natural teeth.

Benefits of Dental Implants for missing teeth
Dental Implants behave like natural teeth
The primary benefit of dental implants is that they allow you to eat and chew with normal strength and comfort. With dental implants, your quality of life is improved by restoring natural function.
Dental Implants can last a lifetime
Dental implants are made of titanium, which is non-corrosive, biocompatible and long-lasting. Titanium is a special metal that is naturally inclined to fuse with bone.
Dental Implants keep adjacent teeth stable
Missing teeth can cause other teeth to shift and create gaps, crookedness and a decrease in the quality of your bite and ability to chew. Dental implants fill empty spaces and helps ensure that other teeth don’t drift and create future problems.
Dental Implants can prevent facial sagging and premature bone loss
Tooth loss can also cause progressive bone depletion in the mouth which makes it appear as though the mouth is collapsing inward. Dental implants preserve the bone in your jaw and help prevent this from happening.
Dental Implants can help keep you free of gum disease
Empty spaces in your mouth act like pockets for food to get trapped and bacteria to grow, leading to gum disease. Implants replace these gaps and help prevent gum disease from developing.
Who are candidates for Dental Implants?
In the past, patients with low levels of jawbone, or those who suffered from health conditions and poor oral habits were unable to get dental implants. However, due to advancing techniques in bone grafting and implant placement technology most people can now get dental implants. Even those who suffer from diabetes are candidates, yet the success rate is somewhat reduced because of their reduced healing ability.
