Root Canal Treatment in Redwood City
One-Visit Root Canals
A root canal is a thin chamber filled with pulp (blood vessels and nerves) located in the interior part of the tooth root. Root canal therapy is a procedure that is used to clean out a root canal that has become infected. During root canal therapy, the infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned out and disinfected, then filled with sterile material.
The treated tooth is then usually covered with a crown to protect it and provide strength. Root canal treatment can save a tooth from needing to be pulled and restore it to a healthy and functioning state.
Comfortable and relaxed
Dr. Dinh will carefully plan your root canal therapy and works to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. Our office also features various comfort amenities such as soothing music, pillows and shaded glasses to make your treatment experience as pleasant.
Dr. Dinh uses an electrically powered rotary file for pulp removal. This device makes root canal treatment faster and easier than the traditional method of using a hand file, meaning less time in the dental chair.
Done in one visit
Most root canal treatment procedures can be completed in just one visit. However, for more severely infected cases, Dr. Dinh may refer the patient to an experienced and trusted endodontist.
